Oahu born and raised, Chaz brings pure local flavor and aloha spirit into everything he does. He may have only been surfing for two years, but don’t let that fool you—he’s been bodyboarding his whole life and charges like someone who grew up in the water (because he did). His favorite surf spot is Sandy Beach, where he feels completely in sync with the ocean.
Chaz loves his 9'2 J.Richardson Makaha surfboard, but what sets him apart isn’t his board—it’s his charisma. Students say he embodies the aloha spirit like few people can: warm, welcoming, and absolutely hyped to see you succeed. His dream is to enter a surf comp and eventually surf overseas.
Oh—and he’s been clean and sober since December 9, 2023, a journey he wears with pride and gratitude. His story is as inspiring as his surf coaching.
