We take children of all ages — but all participants must be able to swim. By “able to swim” we mean the participant must be able to jump into the deep end of a pool, resurface, and swim to the edge.

Yes! Even if you mix private and semi-private groups, you will be in the same vicinity the entire time. You’ll practice on land together, and in the water you’ll be right next to eachother.
The lesson is ~90 minutes: 15-30 minutes on land and 1 hour in the water.
More than 1 hour in the water is exhausting for 99% of first-timers.
The lesson includes all equipment: surfboard, leash, & rashguard.
We have a photographer that goes out in the ocean on every lesson. Customers are welcome to view/buy photos after the lesson is over. The pricing varies by party size.
The weather, tide, and swell vary day-to-day. But in general, the earlier lessons (8am & 10am) have the highest probability of being the best time of day. This is not always true, and even when it is true, the difference between the morning and afternoon is minimal.
We do not do lessons unless the waves are good 🙂 so rest assured anytime will work!

You only need to bring your swimsuit and a towel — but you can bring all of your things and securely store them in our retail space.
